Landfill Harmonic Motto

That motto is believed by members of Recycled Orchestra, a group of Paraguay musicians who utilize thrift to make musical instruments. When the world gives them garbage, they created a musical instrument and giving the world beautiful music.

"Violin more expensive than a home here," said Favio Chavez, director and inventor of Recycled Orchestra. The group is working with scavengers to make a cello, violin, and other musical instruments.

Now, Recycled Orchestra tries to present their music in other ways, namely through a movie called Landfill Harmonic. The film tells the story of the evolution of waste which is then converted into a musical instrument.

In it, the film will highlight the harsh conditions of Paraguay and filled with trash. For this reason the tagline "The world send us garbage. We send back music." very striking to be put at the beginning of the film, as reported by the Huffington Post (12/04).
