Ferdinand and Carrick Welcomed Moyes Appointment

Manchester United duo Rio Ferdinand and Michael Carrick, welcomed the appointment of David Moyes as Manager for Sir Alex Ferguson's replacement next season.
Moyes certainty as the new boss at Old Trafford after Fergie retirement been confirmed by the United camp, Thursday (09/5). The initial reaction of the players suggests that former Everton manager was the architect of the most ideal figure.
Ferdinand, who has played under Fergie guidance for more than a decade, told Sky Sports: "It is important for the club to make a decision quickly and get it all done before the public started to create rumors that are not clear."
"I am delighted with our new manager. He never troubled with United also very honest. He also has done many great things at Everton," said the England defender.
Ferdinand confident Moyes would be a manager who is very open, able to uphold and maintain the traditions of the club, and will not make radical changes to the characteristics of the Red Devils.
Meanwhile, Carrick admitted Moyes impressed by the track record with the Toffees. The United midfielder could not wait even a beginning of a new era at Old Trafford on July 1.
"His work at Everton, with existing resources, it was amazing," said Carrick.
"I wanted to meet him, begin pre-season training, and led the club to more success in the future," he concluded
